What is Daily 5?
Daily 5 is a literacy program developed by the Two Sisters that focuses on giving students choices for doing meaningful literacy tasks. It helps foster independence with reading and allows the teacher to be able to pull small differentiated groups over to work on specific reading strategies. Allowing students choices in what they are doing within literacy has proven to have a greater impact on their love of reading.

What is CAFE?
While Daily 5 provides the classroom structure, CAFE provides the lessons for teachers to focus on with their students. While working with small or individual reading groups, teachers help introduce the reading strategies that fall into the CAFE menu.
